This past weekend Leon Boots took advantage of some bartered studio time and rocked out/recorded 11 tracks in one day!  These boys have been playing music together for  25 years and not since the days of the band “United” have they released any music, but this will soon change with an up coming release on the Abandoned Scout Camp.    Stay tuned!

This past Monday I awoke from a dream in which Amanda Standalone & Karen Townsend visited The Abandoned Scout Camp for a day of recording.  In this dream these talented ladies laid down track after track of incredible music while braving the cold winter weather inside the studio.  The dream turned into a nightmare when both the reel to reel machine and digital back up broke down!  Lucky for us my new computer is able to connect to your brain and recreate dreams.  Now this is technology!  Check it out:

It turns out that sometimes you just don’t know what your missing until he shows up at you door.  New friends Smokey, Ryan and I recently went where no one had gone in quite awhile.  For me actually “seeing” the possibilities is an enormous help when trying to envision the future.

As winter closes in here at camp, I am thankful for the incredible year we have had.  Friends new and old, I am so fortunate  to share this experience with you.  We truly are blessed if we perceive to be.   When you free yourself from WANTING to be told what to think and just think on your own….

Dear Campers,

Today I came across some recent crop circles along my neighbor’s trail.  The circles appear to be connected and with the creek they create a larger circle (like a giant bracelet).  There is one circle attached that is broken off from the larger bracelet.  The grass in some of the circles is laid down in one direction and the others from the opposite.  I climbed the tallest pine tree on the west side, but the view was somewhat obstructed, so when I got down I noticed a taller pine to the east to climb.  I suggest pausing the last few seconds of the video to get the best perspective on the circle.  It would have been easy to just walk by without noticing something special.  The lesson is: it is good to be aware of what is going on around you.  When you are in nature, it is very easy to miss incredible beauty & gifts from our mother earth.   This bracelet symbolizes our separate circles of experience that are connected by love.  Even though some may be outside of the bracelet now, they are still connected and always will be.

Dear Campers,

This past weekend Dorthy Fix was able to sneak away and explore near by Glendalough state park. The park is completely none motorized which led to a much needed peaceful getaway.  We imagined it being very close to what the garden of Eden was like.  Unfortunately there was no tree of knowledge to be found, but there were plenty of June bugs.
